Matt went into the squad room, looking for Rudy.

“Hey, boss, what can I do for you?” Rudy said as Matt approached his desk.

“Need you to take these glasses,” he replied, holding up the evidence bag, “over to Dr. Ryder in Buck Bay. We encountered two potential suspects last night – Octavio and Juan – and they drank out of these. Dr. Ryder is expecting you.”

“Sure thing, chief. This feels like progress,” Rudy said hopefully, looking up at Matt with his broad, innocent face and baby blue eyes that contrasted with his muscular, cut physique. Rudy was the gym rat of the department.
